This Privacy Policy describes how EtchDroid (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal data when you use our application (“EtchDroid” or “the App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled responsibly.
This Privacy Policy has been written to comply with the Google Play policies and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This privacy policy applies to EtchDroid version 1.9.rc5+25 or newer. Older versions do not include telemetry data collection.
F-Droid Users: When you download EtchDroid from F-Droid, no analytics, telemetry, tracking, or ads are included.
Other Sources (Google Play, GitHub releases, etc.): When downloaded from other sources, EtchDroid collects non-personally identifying telemetry data to help identify and fix issues.

When telemetry is disabled, the App will no longer collect any data about your device or usage.
We retain the collected data for up to 90 days, after which it is automatically deleted. This retention period allows us to analyze issues and improve the App’s stability.
We store and process your data within the European Union. We use Sentry, which processes and stores data within the EU, ensuring compliance with GDPR. If any data is transferred outside the EU, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. This includes encryption in transit and at rest.
We use Sentry as a data processor to collect and process data on our behalf. We have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Sentry, ensuring that they comply with GDPR and protect your personal data.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling in our App.
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
