This privacy policy applies to EtchDroid version 1.9.rc5+25 or newer. Older versions do not include telemetry data collection.

How to Request Data Deletion

Since EtchDroid collects minimal personal data and most of it is anonymized, we may not be able to identify your data without specific information from you. If you believe that your personal data (specifically an image file name that is not commonly used) has been collected and wish to have it deleted, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Send an email to privacy@etchdroid.app with the subject line “Data Deletion Request - EtchDroid”.
  2. Provide Necessary Details: Include the exact image file name you opened in EtchDroid. This will help us locate and delete any related data.
  3. Verification: We may need to verify your identity to protect your privacy and security.

We will process your request within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR regulations.

Note that the retention period for collected data is 90 days; after this period, all data is automatically deleted.

Opt-Out of Data Collection

You can opt out of telemetry data collection at any time:

  1. Open the App’s menu.
  2. Toggle the “Send anonymous telemetry data” setting to disable telemetry.

When telemetry is disabled, the App will no longer collect any data about your device or usage.

We retain the collected data for up to 90 days, after which it is automatically deleted. This retention period allows us to analyze issues and improve the App’s stability.

Data Transfers

We store and process your data within the European Union. We use Sentry, which processes and stores data within the EU, ensuring compliance with GDPR. If any data is transferred outside the EU, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure. This includes encryption in transit and at rest.

Use of Data Processors

We use Sentry as a data processor to collect and process data on our behalf. We have a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Sentry, ensuring that they comply with GDPR and protect your personal data.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling in our App.
